CHURCH HISTORY

In the summer of 1996 God brought Pastor Randy Hall back to Central Illinois after a hiatus in Florida. He received a call from friends in Delavan Illinois asking him if he had ever given thought to coming back and starting a Church in Delavan. Unbeknownst to them, this was an answer to a prayer Pastor Randy had prayed asking God if He wanted him to go back to Central Illinois and start another Church.

A small group of approximately 15-20 friends came together along with Pastor Randy and his family to form Days of Grace Fellowship. On November 3, 1996 we held our first service in the Community Building in Tremont Illinois. For the first few months we met in the Community Building, then due to increase in the size of our congregation, we rented a school gymnasium. In August 1998 we purchased our first building on Park Avenue in Pekin.

For the next six years, God continued to move. Again, due to an increase in the size of our congregation, we moved, this time to Morton.

In February of 2004, we held our first service in our present building at 273 E. Queenwood Road in Morton.

Our Children's Ministry, which includes the Nursery, Pre Kids, Jr. KIDS Church, and KIDS Church has grown tremendously. Our weekly Bible studies are growing as God adds to the children's ministry, Jr High and Sr High Youth Group, Men's Ministry, and Women's Ministry. We also have developed Cell groups that meet at different times throughout the month (please see our calendar for details).

We believe that God has called us to the Morton area, and we continue to reach out to those in the community who are searching for the Truth, the salvation message of Jesus Christ. It is the vision of Days of Grace Fellowship to S (save the Lost), E (equip the saints) R (restore the wounded) V (value) E (everyone) S.E.R.V.E. our community - all to the glory of God.

We invite you to join us at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday morning services and 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays for Bible study. Come and be a part of a community of believers after the heart of God.

Rejoice -- God loves you and so will we!
