Dear Parents,

We are sending out this letter to remind you of a very important program that some of you might not be aware of.  We reward your kids for being good!  Sound good?

We thought so too!  Basically, this is how it works - when your child is “caught” doing something nice for others, remembering their Bible, participating during class, or bringing

a friend, they are given coins.  Bringing friends gets a very special coin worth 5 points.  Other coins are worth one point.

Once a month (usually the first Sunday of the month) they get to spend their hard earned coins at our Reward Zone store.  Kids are encouraged to not just shop for

themselves, and love to get gifts for others.  It is our hope and goal that the kids will work hard for the money, enjoy the fruit of their labor, and send happiness to others.

We NEED your help, though.  We want the children to remember that “showing God’s love and being kind” isn’t something that just happens at church…Christianity is

a lifelong walk, involving every area of our lives.  So, with that in mind, we (the teachers) would like to know all the little things they do around the house, at school, or when we aren’t

around to reward them for it.

Attached you will find a table that has all kinds of activities that your child may do.  Please look over these activities, and add your own to the list.  Then when you “catch them

being good” jot the date by the activity, and sign your name at the bottom.  Feel free to make or ask for lots of copies, and hand in these sheets often!

We can always use donations for our store.  Some ideas are small toys, crafts, tools, etc.  If you’d rather let us shop, please feel free to donate money (the real kind).  Just designate

“Store” on your giving envelope and the leadership will be sure to get it to the right place.  The best thing you can do for us is pray, pray, pray. J

Some things you need to know:

*If your child is in the KIDS church class, it is their responsibility to keep the money and not lose it.  This will help teach stewardship - if we squander or lose what is given to us,

we won’t get that replaced, but we will be given another chance.

*If your child is in the Pre-Kids or Jr. Kids class, we will keep their monies at church.  Please feel free to drop into their classrooms and see how they are doing.

If you have any ideas or would like to volunteer to help us with the shop, please let us know.  We welcome all suggestions!  If you have anything you’d like to donate, please talk to Darla Henricks.

If you have any questions or concerns, please see Deb Hall or Darla Henricks, or your child’s teacher for information.

Thanks for your help!

In Christ,
